Your compassionate guide to

intuitive strength and movement

I am a weight-neutral, strength-oriented personal trainer on a mission to fight diet culture, one deadlift at a time.

My approach to training is rooted in deep respect for a client's unique physical and psychological needs and an understanding of the continually evolving interplay between the two.

We will explore movement with attention to form and function so that you build strength in a way that complements your body's mechanics and supports your movement goals.

By using fitness to promote confidence, intuition, and self-compassion, we can challenge your negative self-perceptions and transform your relationship with exercise.

Improving your relationship with exercise:

a beautiful partnership

Fitness Relationship Status: It’s Complicated.

Fitness. Ugh. BODIES. UGH! For some people, fitness is a wonderfully positive part of their lives. Perhaps they loved playing sports as a kid and adult fitness is just an extension of that. Maybe they’ve always experienced the privilege of living in the kind of body that our society rewards, which can be complicated in different ways. For other people, fitness is an industry and culture that feeds off of shame and guilt, making us feel that our bodies are not good enough as they are, teaching us the fallacy that HOW we live in our bodies is indicative of our morality. This might look like a kid who attempts to skip PE class whenever possible for fear of being chosen last for a team. It might be an adult struggling through eating disorder recovery and wondering what “healthy” exercise even looks like. It could be the woman who is baffled by the physical changes that she experiences as she enters menopause, or the former college athlete with nagging injuries that just makes it impossible to do the things that she used to enjoy. I am here to help you appreciate exactly who you are today while challenging you to grow in the ways that are unique to you and your body.
